Dear customer
The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, applies in the European Union from May 25, 2018.
The implementation of this regulation is an opportunity for the companies of the Flower group (hereinafter referred to as “Flower”) to confirm, through this charter, which is incorporated into its general terms and conditions of sale, the principles that guide the use it makes of your personal data.
This charter may be updated regularly, in particular to take account of any changes in regulations or to incorporate new organizational methods within Flower.
Definition of personal data
Personal data is information in a format that makes it possible to identify a natural person, either directly (surname, first name) or indirectly (identifier, telephone number, biometric data, etc.).
Examples: name, photograph, IP address, telephone number, login/password, postal address, e-mail address.
Personal data processing
The processing of personal data may consist of collecting, recording, organizing, storing, adapting, modifying, extracting, consulting, using or communicating personal data, as defined above.
Scope of the charter
The present Charter applies to all personal data processing carried out by Flower on its Booking website and, more generally, in Flower’s relations with all its customers.
Personal data collected by Flower
These may include :
- Your contact details and civil status (surname, first name, date of birth, nationality, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, car license plate).
- The names of your companions.
In the case of minors, we only collect their surname, first name, nationality and date of birth via an adult.
- Information on your means of payment (credit card number).
- Your vacation dates.
- Your preferences during your stay (e.g. apartment orientation, type of bed) and ancillary activities (e.g. booking ski equipment rentals or ski lifts).
- Certain restrictions that must be taken into account when
your stay (e.g.: people with reduced mobility). - Your IP address, the browser you use and your language settings.
- How you browse our website (pages visited, clicks).
- Some of our facilities are equipped with video surveillance for the safety of people and property. You may therefore be filmed.
When is personal data collected?
Personal data are collected :
- When booking a holiday, whether the booking is made directly or through a third party (tour operators, works councils, travel agencies, etc.), whether the booking is made in person, by post, online or by telephone, and whether it concerns a site managed directly by Flower or a site managed by a hosting service provider.
- When consuming ancillary services in our facilities (excursions, catering, bar).
- In the event of complaints or disputes.
- When participating in satisfaction surveys.
- When participating in contests.
- When subscribing to newsletters.
- When connecting to our websites (IP address, cookies).
- When consulting our pages on social networks.
- When information concerning you is transferred to certain service providers (e.g. banks for payments, mailers for sending catalogs or marketing service providers).
- When capturing CCTV images.
Why do we collect personal data?
We collect your personal data in order to :
- Get to know you better.
- Communicate with you.
- Manage our relationship (Booking stays, special requests, stay,
after-stay). - Promote our brands.
- To provide you with quality customer service at all times, enabling you to take advantage of personalized offers best suited to your expectations, as reflected in your wishes, consumption habits and comments.
- Within this framework and with this objective, to carry out analyses and studies aimed at qualifying/enriching the customer database through better knowledge of your centers of interest.
- Cross-reference, analyze and combine data.
- Create statistics.
- Handle any complaints.
- Secure the payments you make.
- Keep track of your consumption of ancillary services (catering, bar, excursions, etc.).
- To secure and improve the use and navigation of the Flower Website
- Respect the legal and regulatory environment in which Flower operates (responding to requests from the authorities, handling disputes, monitoring compliance with applicable regulations).
- Prevent fraud.
- Organize contests.
Flower’s data protection commitments
1/ Not to collect any information that is not strictly necessary for the performance of our activities, the satisfaction of our customers and the improvement of our products and services.
2/ Do not collect any “sensitive” information relating to alleged racial or ethnic origins; political, philosophical or religious opinions; trade union membership; sexual orientation; health; genetic or biometric data; criminal offenses or convictions.
3/ As far as possible, limit the number of people within Flower who have access to your personal data by providing specific authorizations for the departments concerned (sales department, plant operators, accounting, IT department, marketing department, legal department). Engage in large-scale internal awareness-raising campaigns to protect your privacy.
4/ Keep your data only for as long as is compatible with the purposes of processing or with our legal obligations: 13 months for cookies (from the last connection), 5 years for other personal data (from the last transaction), 1 month for video surveillance images.
5/ Do not transfer any of your data outside the European Union.
6/ To guarantee that you can exercise your rights with regard to your personal data at any time:
– Must have access.
– Right to object.
– Right of rectification.
– Right to erasure.
– Right to limitation.
– Right to portability.

The deadline for responding to a complete application is 2 months.
7/ Confidentiality and security
Do everything in our power, at all times, to protect your personal data against any unauthorized use as a result of accidental or deliberate intrusion into our information systems, in particular our payment systems.
Examples include the installation of firewalls, the use of Secure Socket Layer technology for credit card payments, and the use of passwords on all computers with access to personal data.
8/ Transfers
Ensure that the service providers (marketers, hosts, marketing providers, etc.) to whom we transmit your personal data comply very strictly with the provisions of the RGPD.
9/ Data sharing between Flower and Franchisees
Flower operates direct campsites and also has a network of franchised campsites operating under the “Flower Campings” banner (hereinafter the “Franchisees”).
The data collected on the Flower website is intended for Flower or the Franchisees to get to know you better and thus better serve you as a user of our services or as a customer of the Franchised campsites. By using the website, you will be able to benefit from the services offered by Flower and/or the Franchisees. You therefore agree to the sharing of your data between Flower and the Franchisees in connection with the pooling of their resources as part of their network organization.
Franchisees are responsible for processing personal data collected directly by them or from their website.
10/ Consent
Obtain your clear and unambiguous consent to the use of your data.
Offer you the possibility of refusing to receive messages from us at any time (unsubscribe link).
11/ Appointment of a DPO (Data Protection Officer) – Responsibility for files
Flower SAS is responsible for the files when data is collected on the Flower website.
Flower belongs to the same group as the Odalys Group, which has appointed a DPO (Data Protection Officer).
